create an account on daysmart recreation to ensure a spot on freestyle session
i am happy to provide guidance for the registration process, it is difficult the first time and gets easier afterwards
Tips for Success
come to practice on a day other than the lesson day for at least forty five minutes
warm up off-ice before stepping on ice
stretch after our session
purchase your own skates
purchase guards and soakers, too
dry the skates off with a microfiber cloth
store the skates with the soakers on
warning: do not store the boot with the guards still on them (they will rust)
sharpen skates every 45 hours on the ice
ultimate skate and hockey is a pro shop that sharpens skates next to rink 1
bring water and tissues
great park ice offers group classes, which give ten free public sessions per semester, which is a reasonable cost-effective way to start learning ice skating
